Pastor Sonia Perez was born and raised in Sacramento, California. She loves traveling, basketball, and
artistic and creative works. Pastor/Dr. Sonia as her previous youth liked to affectionately call her
graduated with a doctor of ministry degree in Youth and Young Adults from Andrews University. Her project was entitled “Discipling youth and young adults using experiential ministry” .She has a masters of divinity degree with an emphasis in youth ministry also from Andrews. Pastor Sonia graduated from Southern Adventist University with a major in religious studies and minors in English, history and
psychology. Pastor Sonia’s purpose in life is to not only disciple youth ages 0 to 99, but her hope is that that those she disciples will continually disciple others spreading the gospel far and near. Her desire is that every person she meets know that they are loved and were created with a purpose.
Julie MacLafferty is a graduate of Southern Adventist University currently serving as a pastor at the Forest Lake Church near Orlando, Florida. She loves to travel and get to know new people, cultures (food included), and places. Julie is passionate about prayer, mission, and learning to walk with Jesus personally while helping others find that joy as well. A good conversation is always sure to make her day!
Yolanda A Acevedo is Church and School Auditor at the Florida Conference and an Officially Appointed Volunteer (OAV) for the Florida Conference Pathfinder/Adventurer Department, currently leading as West Area Administrator for Pathfinders. She has over 30 years of experience leading children and youth within the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Illinois and
Florida. Yolanda has received extensive training in Youth Leadership development, including developing new Leaders and facilitating relationships between young people, their Youth Leader, Parents, and the Church. She has also presented various seminars in Youth Leadership Development, Pathfinder Club Ministries, and Stewardship. She is currently networking to bring Youth Leadership training programs for Youth and Pathfinder Leaders in Kenya, Africa, and Cuba. Among her many passions is leading out on international mission trips. She’s traveled to various regions of Kenya, Peru, Cuba, Dominican Republic, and the Philippines, sharing the Gospel with children, youth, orphans, and widows through evangelism
and service projects. Yolanda also enjoys working with young people, camping, and spending time with her two daughters and three granddaughters in her home in Brandon, FL.
Pastor Jennifer Hernandez was born and raised on the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii. Her love for sharing Jesus was born when she dedicated her voice to Him as a child. She began singing throughout the islands at the age of five and started preaching when she was fourteen years old. She enjoys being actively involved in women’s ministries, children’s ministries, and worship ministries. Motivated to answer God’s call on her life, Pastor Jennifer moved her family to England, where she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Sciences at Newbold College. Together with her husband, Armando, and their five boys, Chance, David, Michael, Paul, and Joshua, God has taken them on a journey of faith, where they have traveled throughout Europe and the United States, testifying about His amazing love! Pastor Jennifer holds a Master of Divinity Degree from Andrews University Theological Seminary and currently serves in South Florida as an Associate Pastor at the Plantation Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Pastor Laffit and his wife, Lynda, have two young-adult children: Raylyn and Caleb. Born and raised in New York, he has a passion for helping people discover and develop the potential God has planned for them. He believes that we can each have a significant influence here on earth to equip the church to accomplish its mission. He loves to read, bike, collect comic books, and watch sci-fi/spy movies in his spare time. Pastor Laffit is currently working on a Master’s degree in Global Leadership through Fuller Theological Seminary.
Sheila was born in Argentina but moved to the United States with her parents when she was 13 years old. Her passion for serving others drove her to study Psychology finishing a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology in Argentina and another Master’s degree in Health Psychology in the United States. She’s been married for six years to Pablo, who brought two children, Julián (16) and Camila (20), into her life. Together they had twin baby girls, Skye and Lani, who are two years old. Sheila spends her days taking care of the children and pets, learning more about motherhood, step-motherhood, health, parenting, leadership, and sexuality. She is currently working helping other women find a healthy and sustainable lifestyle rooted in their identity on Jesus and educating by giving workshops and seminars to parents, leaders, and young adults in
search of Biblical and psychological answers to today’s reality and struggles.
Kathy Hernandez is the Southern Union Ministerial and Evangelism Director. Kathy and her husband, Pastor Roger Hernandez, have four adult children, two biological and two foster daughters, and two granddaughters. She has a Bachelors's degree in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Youth Ministry. Her life calling has been to nurture her children and anyone else who has needed the love of a family. Youth ministries holds a special place in her
heart, and she has been working with youth for over 21 years. She is incredibly passionate when it comes to working with teen girls. Kathy, loves working for the Lord and feels honored every time He chooses to use her.
Sara Orfilia Silva de Bullón, peruana de nacimiento y brasilera de corazón; feliz esposa de pastor; madre bendecida; suegra amada; abuela equilibrada. Graduada en Bibliotecología con maestría en Ciencia de la Información ambas por la UnB – Universidad de Brasilia. . Como puedes ver mi biografía es pequeña, mi mayor título es ser esposa de pastor y madre, además de formar lectores para la eternidad. Mi esposo y yo estamos jubilados y vivimos en Brasilia – Brasil.
El Pastor Gerardo Farías, estudio teología bíblica en la Universidad Adventista de Chile (UnACh) entre los años 2001-2005. Allí conoció a su esposa, Jocelyn, y juntos han servido al Señor en varios distritos pastorales del Norte de Chile. En el año 2015 fue nombrado Director de Jóvenes de la Misión Norte de Chile, función que despeñó hasta el año 2017. El pastor Farías cursó también un Magister en Teología en la Universidad Adventista de São Paulo (UnASP) y en el año 2017 es invitado a servir en la Universidad Adventista de Chile como Director de la Pastoral Universitaria. Y en el año 2018 fue invitado a participar del proyecto de la DSA “Misioneros para el Mundo”, y fue invitado a servir como pastor de la Iglesia Hispana de Israel, donde reside hasta el día de hoy. Israel es parte de la Ventana 10/40, y es uno de los lugares donde la predicación del evangelio es un verdadero desafío.
